Zakynthos is one of the greenest islands in Greece. It is steeped in history, and supports a wealth of flora and fauna. The climate is mild even in Winter (15 - 25oC) This provides the wealth of fruit, vegetables and beautiful gardens. There are several museums on the island. The patron saint is St. Dennis, and the cathedral is a must visit whether you’re religious or not.

The northern part of the island consists of mountainous with small villages less influenced by tourism, excellent for walking excursions. Day trips by boat are available to the mainland, Cephalonia and also to more seclude beaches around the island.
